Cheri Quickmire, executive director of Common Cause in Connecticut, says that turnout is heavier than expected around the state and that there are lines in various communities. “There are people turning out to vote and that’s a good thing,” she said, stressing that voting irregularities seem confined to Hartford, where lists of voters in some precincts failed to show up on time. “We don’t know how many are affected at this point,” she said.
