Let the lawyering up begin.

Stuck in line for 30 minutes this morning at his polling precinct in Hartford because of glitches, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is asking a state Superior Court judge to extend voting by a half-hour in the capital city.

“Currently the polls in Hartford are working smoothly and voters can cast their ballots,” Malloy’s campaign said in a statement. “We encourage everyone to vote.”

Malloy was among a stream of early-risers who tried to vote at the Hartford Seminary. Some left because of the wait, however.

Malloy’s campaign said it would elaborate on the nature of its request for judicial relief once it files its complaint with the court.
