Mayor Bill Finch congratulates Malloy on possible re-election

BRIDGEPORT – While official election numbers are not in to call the race and Tom Foley has not yet fully conceded, Mayor Bill Finch has already congratulated his fellow democrat Dannel P. Malloy, who said he was going to win.

“I’m thrilled that Governor Dan Malloy will be serving another term as the chief executive of the great state of Connecticut,” said Finch early Wednesday Morning. “And, thanks to Governor Malloy, we’re investing in Bridgeport’s future. Because of our work with Governor Malloy, more kids have access to pre-k and state-of-the-art public schools. New developments in our city are resulting in more jobs, high-quality housing options, and business growth. And, investments in clean energy are making sure our kids breathe cleaner air. Bridgeport’s getting better every day. Together with Governor Malloy, we’re making the state’s largest city a place where our kids and grandkids will choose to live, work, and raise their families, too.”
