Chelsea Clinton to visit Greenwich

If her parents return to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., this time it’ll be as empty-nesters.

Against the backdrop of her mother’s latest run for president, Chelsea Clinton will visit Greenwich next month to raise money for her family’s foundation, Hearst Connecticut Media has learned.

From first daughter to new mom, Clinton remains very much in the public eye as an emissary for the Clinton Foundation and commanding five-figure speaking fees.

The ask for lunch with Clinton May 17 starts at $500 per person.

Clinton will be promotion the foundation’s No Ceilings initiative, a women’s empowerment program championed by Hillary Clinton.

The event is being hosted by Mudita Bhargava, who works in forex trading for RBS; Dr. Hansa Barghava, an expert pediatrician for the website WebMD; event planner Gretchen Bylow; and Mimi Duff, who works for the hedge fund Tudor Investment Corp.

Drew Marzullo, a selectman who is the top Democratic office holder in Greenwich, is among those slated to attend the luncheon.

“The Clinton Foundation and its advocacy for a better world is nothing short of remarkable,” Marzullo told Hearst. “Millions of lives in some way have been positively impacted. Of course I do know that from now until November 2016 anytime a Presidential candidate or their family come into Greenwich for whatever reason one could anticipate much public interest. If your last name is Clinton it sure to be bumped up a notch.”
