Middle schooler arrested after urine found in teacher’s water bottle

Discipline often eases as a school year winds down, a fact that students sometimes exploit with pranks played on each other or adults in the building. But Greenwich police say one middle school student went well across the line this year.

Police arrested a 13-year-old Eastern Middle School student for allegedly “placing urine within a teacher’s water bottle,” police said in a report Thursday.

According to police, the incident occurred on June 24, the last day of school. Whether the student was arrested that day or afterward was not clear Thursday. Police did not provide further details.

The student was charged with second-degree breach of peace and was referred to the Juvenile Matters division of state Superior Court in Stamford, where he had been scheduled to appear July 2.

Officials at the school district could not be reached for comment Thursday.
