Lane closures planned on I-95 this weekend

Tree trimming scheduled along Interstate 95 in Greenwich and Stamford on Saturday could cause traffic delays.

Motorists can expect lane closures between the New York State line and Exit 6 in Stamford between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. when workers will trim tree limbs at risk of blocking traffic cameras, Connecticut Department of Transportation officials announced.

Weather or other unforseen circumstances could force DOT operators to extend the eight-hour project window, DOT officials said.

The department also reminded motorists to drive safely within the speed limit, particularly when navigating this work zone on Saturday.
