United Way spreads holiday cheer to Greenwich teens

|

Santa Claus may be the face of Christmas gift-giving, but he certainly does not have a monopoly on holiday generosity.

The Greenwich United Way’s Teen Gift Card program will distribute $50 American Express gift cards to 50 teenagers served by the nonprofits Community Centers and Family Centers  Both organizations are United Way partner agencies.

United Way board members, other volunteers, and staff helped to purchase the gift cards

As a festive flourish, United Way staff wrapped the cards in gift bags with the recipients’ names.

And while he was not involved in this magnanimous venture, we’ll assume that all of the recipients made Santa’s “nice” list this year.
