Greenwich youth arrested after pushing relative down stairs

Greenwich Police have released reports of a local juvenile’s arrest following a physical altercation with an older family member. The youth, a male, is now facing charges of disorderly conduct and third-degree assault.

According to police reports, the juvenile suspect initiated a verbal argument with the victim shortly before 1 p.m. on Dec. 26. The altercation escalated as the two parties began to push each other, at which point the juvenile pushed the victim down a flight of stairs.

The victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the fall, police said.

The juvenile is scheduled to appear in Superior Court for Juvenile Matters in Stamford on Jan. 7.
