Pregnancy primer at Greenwich Hospital

|

Greenwich Hospital, 5 Perryridge Road, will host a pregnancy primer from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday at the hospital’s Noble Conference Center. The primer  is a “one-stop shopping” educational event for parents-to-be and those just thinking about becoming pregnant.

As the name suggests, the event primes parents-to-be for what to expect before, during and after childbirth and in doing so calms the “now whats?” From OBGYNs, fertility specialists, anesthesiologists and pediatricians to breastfeeding consultants, NICU nurses and yoga/meditation instructors, there is someone to answer any questions expectant parents may have. Tours of the Maternity Department birthing center are given every 15 minutes during the course of the primer.

Each year, the event draws upwards of 200 visitors from Connecticut and New York, including grandparents and siblings. The event is free and open to the public. Register by phone, 203-863-3627, or online at greenwichhospital.org.
