Walking or driving past the new auditorium under construction at Greenwich High School, you might not get a full sense of the scope of the project. So far, most of the building work has taken place at or below ground level.
With a little altitude, though, you might get a different perspective. The picture below, taken by Greenwich High School Headmaster Chris Winters, shows the orchestra pit from the vantage point of a second-floor window in a computer lab in the school’s science wing.
Now picture a student orchestra in a finished version of said pit in a finished auditorium. If the remaining construction proceeds according to the latest timetable, such a vision may be a reality a year from now.
