Big fundraising haul for Lions Club’s Egg Hunt

|

Talk about an eggs-ellent outcome.

The Greenwich Lions Club’s annual Egg Hunt last Sunday in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park raised approximately $5,000.

ShopRite was the event’s lead sponsor, while the Greenwich Department of Parks and Recreation co-sponsored.

The St. Lawrence Club, McDonald’s and Greenwich Bank & Trust also made contributions.

Many volunteered for the event, including local boy scouts and the Old Greenwich Lions.

A total of approximately 600 children and parents participated in the event.

The proceeds will go a number of local projects and low-vision initiatives supported by the Lions.
