The new Bible Street Community Garden has nearly 90 garden plots waiting to be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. So, if you want to become a community gardener at Bible Street you need to attend one of two plot sign-up meetings on Saturday, April 26, from 3 to 5 p.m. or on Sunday, April 27, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Cos Cob Firehouse 2nd floor meeting room, at 200 East Putnam Avenue. The annual garden fee is $50 – checks only, please.
Come learn more about how the garden will operate and the responsibilities of community gardeners and complete an application. Prospective gardeners will be able to download the new Gardeners Handbook after April 21, 2014 from the Greenwich Community Gardening website: www.greenwichcommunitygardens.org. This handbook includes important garden information, plus the sign-up forms you need to reserve a garden plot. Handbooks and sign-up forms will also be available on sign-up days at the Firehouse.
