GEMS benefit at the Cos Cobber all day Thursday

gc0510record-02GEMS survived the town budgeting process for the upcoming fiscal year without a single cut to its $4.4 million request — but that only covers part of the organization’s needs, and GEMS leadership is wasting no time with their fundraising.

All day tomorrow, May 15, GEMS and the Cos Cobber restaurant will host a joint benefit, with 50 percent of all proceeds going toward the non-profit. First Selectman Peter Tesei will deliver an address at the 31 East Putnam Avenue eatery at 9:00 a.m.

The Cos Cobber is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
