‘Mud’ screening tonight at Greenwich Library

|

Looking to get “stuck in” with a good movie tonight? Then “Mud,” starring Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Sam Shepard, Tye Sheridan and Jacob Lofland and directed by Jeff Nichols might fit the bill.

The Greenwich Library is showing the film tonight at 8 p.m. in its Cole Auditorium.

Here’s a description of the movie from the library’s website: “A coming-of-age story, taking place down in the delta where innocence and experience, the past and the future, all run together like dirt and water. A film about two boys exploring the Mississippi who encounter desperado McConaughey in this landmark film that resonates with many classic earlier films. Has an eye for natural beauty and a sure sense of character and place. Also has cussin’ & fightin’.”

The screening is free, and doors open at 7:40 p.m.
