Break out those shovels, grab your sunscreen and start drafting your blueprints: Sandblast! 2014 is nearly upon us. The Greenwich Arts Council and the Department of Parks and Recreation are teaming up once again, along with Meli-Melo Juice Bar to host the annual sand sculpture festival on Greenwich Point.
But don’t call it a competition — the event, organizers say, is all for the joy of creation — “All participants will be winners.”
The building starts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, at Greenwich Point, with a rain date set for the next day, Sunday, July 20.
