Young will serve as FPCNS director until a new director is found. Previous FPCNS director Patricia Bria Case retired in April after 28 years.

Young brings over 40 years of education experience spanning two-year-olds through graduates in college. Prior to heading up Stanwich School, Young spent 17 years at Greenwich Academy in multiple roles including the Head of the Lower School.

“I am delighted to be back with the little ones and to have an opportunity to be part of this wonderful institution so lovingly cared for by Pat Case,” said Young. “We are getting ready for a spectacular year as we begin the next chapter in this school’s honored history.”

In words addressed to the Nursery School community Interim Senior Minister Stephen W. Plunkett remarked that Young is a “veteran educator, and we look forward to her many years of experience enriching the lives of the children and families involved in the Nursery School.”

First Presbyterian Church Nursery School was founded in 1959. It educates students from ages two through pre-kindergarten level. The school is an outreach program of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenwich.
