Brian Harris, a five year board member of the Town’s Inland Wetland Agency & Watercourses Agency has been tapped as new Agency Chairman. Harris joined as an Alternate member of the Board in 2009.
Harris succeeds the departing Lawrence Perry, who has headed the Agency the last seven years. After the recent board members vote, Harris thanked fellow members for their vote of confidence by noting he was honored to be stepping into such “enormously big shoes.”
Harris further praised Perry’s” level of professionalism” in fulfilling the Agency’s mission to preserve, protect and maintain the Town’s wetland and watercourse resources from random and unnecessary uses.”
Harris is a LEED certified architect in the Manhattan offices of Perkins+Will where he works in construction documentation and administration, design development, sustainable design strategies and project management. He’s a Cornell U. graduate with an MBA and Masters of Architecture from Columbia U.
