Greenwich educators have a reported a generally smooth first day of classes, after students returned on Tuesday for the start of the 2014-15 school year.
In one of the biggest changes in the district this year, New Lebanon School kindergartners will have their academic classes at the neighboring Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center.
“We’re really delighted with how everything has gone,” said New Lebanon Principal Barbara Riccio, as kindergartners and staff gathered in the gym at BANC. “We had a short time frame to get the building ready because there was a [summer] camp here. But the place looks great, and the kids are ready. We’re very pleased.”
Greenwich High School Headmaster said his school was also off to a strong start.
“We’re off to a good start,” he said. “There’s a good energy.”
