The YMCA Zumba instructors are hosting a Zumbathon benefit evening filled with games, prizes and more on Friday, Sept. 12 from 7 – 9 p.m. Along with all that Zumba activity there be relief and sustenance found at a Food/ hydration station provided by Whole Foods Greenwich.
Price for the Zumbathon is a mere $5 for individuals but for a family of 4 its $10 with pre-registration, or $15 at the door. But hurry as space is limited! For more info, contact Lee Ann Borg at email@example.com.
And by the way half of all proceeds will go to the Whole Kids Foundation for the Garden Grant Program – created in partnership with FoodCorps. The program helps schools implement or enhance school gardens and related activities in any setting: urban or rural, indoors or out, in the windowsill, on the wall or in the schoolyard!
The other half goes to the YMCA of Greenwich Annual Campaign to support the Y’s dedication to youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Last year the Y gave away $209,000 in financial aid to benefit programs and services including scholarships for childcare, summer camp and membership.
