McCormick is known to be a global leader in flavor. For the last 13 years McCormick has identified the new and trending flavors for the upcoming years. The Flavor Forecast is known to popularize unfamiliar ingredients.

McCormick’s flavor forecast consists of the five identified trends that the company believes will create new sensations and innovations to meals. The 2013 Flavor Forecast is created by McCormick chefs, sensory scientists, dietitians, trend trackers, marketing experts and food technologists from around the world. The forecast displays trends and flavors from a variety of cultures from Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, Latin America and North America. This year’s Flavor Forecast features “Global My Way,” which is how people discover ethnic meals but going beyond using their traditional ingredients.

McCormick’s five predictions for the global food trend of 2013 with 10 flavor combinations are:
