This is one of the problems with City Center, just last month the ice rink hosted the Winter Warm Up chili cook off. Redundant events make the district that is suppose to be the creative hub of Danbury seem uninspired and formulaic. I’m sure structurally there are differences in these two events, but at the end of the day it’s two chili cook offs in less than a month a stones throw from one another.

Would it be possible for City Center to keep a master schedule and help prevent this type of duplication? At the end of the day everybody wins with more people downtown. I’m not “hating” on this event it just seems City Center lacks a collective spirit and struggles to get out of it’s own way.
