Sam Stevenson, a Darien High School graduate, is a freshman on the University of Richmond women’s lacrosse team. Stevenson was the Blue Wave’s leading scorer last season, leading the team to league and state titles. She is a three-time All-FCIAC and All-State selection. Stevenson was also voted to the All-FCIAC and All-State second team after helping the Darien volleyball team to league and state titles last year. In the two sports, Stevenson won seven FCIAC and seven state titles during her career.
In her spare time, Stevenson swims, plays tennis, softball, snowboards and likes to ride all-terrain vehicles, is a volunteer with the Darien Fire Department, sketches and coaches youth lacrosse and in the Challenger Sports Program for special needs children.
