As parents, we couldn't be more proud of your transition and success at the college level both athletically and academically! We see how easily Richmond has become your home away from home and we are thrilled that you have found a place where you can truly be yourself and thrive. While this year has certainly flown by, we can't wait to see what the future holds for you! Until then we will love having you home for a while! Mom and Dad

Dear Sam,

I am so happy for you. You have moved right into a big D1 program and have not missed a beat! It has been so much fun watching you mature over the years, on and off the field. Your love for and loyalty to your family is so admirable.
See you this summer!

Love, Tricia

Good writing is a hard thing to learn. I did in HS, and it served me very well through college and for so many years after I won't mention it. It is the key to success, so don't give up your blog and strive to do well in your class writing by getting all the teachers you can to give you all the criticism they can about your writing. You'll learn from it. Don't let them be nice, get them to tell you how to make it better. You'll learn and you will remember if you care. And you should care. People that cannot write will not succeed. Period. And you touched on another important point, maybe you didn't realize: be intrigued by your teachers. Find a way. If you are, you'll learn more and will need to study less, if at all, because you'll take it in in class.
Good luck.
