A number of community organizations in Greenwich have opened their facilities to non-members looking for electrical outlets and some warmth.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich has opened its building at 4 Horseneck Lane to all residents, including non-members, for free on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., children can use the club’s swimming pool, rink and other recreation facilities. Adults needing to take showers, charge devices and warm up are also welcome. The Greenwich Family YMCA is also opening its facility at 50 E. Putnam Ave. for people looking to shower and plug in phones and laptops. The Y is open weekdays from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
The Greenwich Senior Center, 299 Greenwich Ave., is open Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for warming, bathrooms and charging. There will be no meals, transportation or regular programming this week.

and i thought the “clubs” referred to in the headline were the country clubs in town. shoulda known better.
