Greenwich 2012 Food + Wine Festival Presented by Serendipity

This fabulous three-day festival presented by Serendipity to benefit the Wall Gang Camp, a nationwide organization dedicated to providing healing to children and their families coping with cancer, sickle cell anemia and other serious illnesses is sure to delight young and old alike.

The opening celebration takes place on Thursday, October 4th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and features an evening of fine wines. On Friday, October 5th the Grand Tasting Gala will commence at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, October 6th the Food and Wine Festival from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m..  The event will be held at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, located on 100 Arch St., in Greenwich.

All ticket holders receive an official wine glass and tote bag. Thursday night’s official weekend kick-off Wine Lover event will feature elite wines perfectly paired with gourmet hors d’oeuvres. We will introduce some of the weekend’s honored chefs and event sponsors and will host a very special wine and food themed silent auction. Cocktail attire is recommended.

Friday nights Grand Tasting Gala is an evening of decadent tastings by the event’s nine featured chefs from New York and Connecticut including Rui Correia of Douro Restaurant and Bar, Debra Ponzek of Aux Délices, Clifford Crooks of BLT Steak to name a few. Guests will  enjoy some of the world’s finest wines and spirits from a full bar.  while listening to Big Head Todd & The Monsters who will perform live!
On Saturday,  the Culinary Village  will offer grand, savory tastings and exciting demonstrations from more than 90+ food, wine and spirit vendors. A highlight of Saturday’s events will be the two culinary tents that will feature cooking presentations by celebrity chefs including Graham Elliot of Fox’s “Master Chef,” Duff Goldman of Food Network’s “Ace of Cakes,” Clifford Crooks of Bravo’s “Top Chef”,  the Singing Chef Neil Fuentes of Sabra Recipe Makeover,  TFN “Chopped” host Ted Allen, and more!
Guests will also enjoy wine sommelier presentations, a beer garden, celebrity chef book signings, a Southern Bash with barbeque, bourbon and the first annual Burger Battle while listening to live musical performances by The Gregg Allman Band, The Felice Brothers and Will Hoge. VIP ticketholders will have access to the Festival VIP Tent, which is equipped with a private lounge and restrooms, full bar, elite wines and specialty treats.
