|

This Friday, March 28, the Westport Historical Society is hosting back to back events.   The day kicks off with a lunchtime film series: Westport in the 1950′s.  Those were the days…..Westport was prospering in the ’50′s, people were concentrating on their homes, their children and the town.  Chuck Tannen is the producer and director of The End of an Era: Westport in the ‘50’s, a documentary that includes interviews with six Westporters who reminisce about businesses that have come and gone. This documentary will be shown here at Westport Historical Society, 25 Avery Place on March 28th from Noon to 1 pm.  Bring a lunch, enjoy and meet with Chuck for a Q & A after the film.   Donation: $5, please call 203-222-1424 to register.

A packed-to-capacity crowd is expected, so reserve early to hear the music of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen. The music starts at 6 p.m. and there is a suggested $15 donation at the door.
