Rents increasing across Fairfield County


The average rent for an apartment in Bridgeport in the fourth quarter went up by an average of $65 in 2010, according to, an apartment market research website. The figures mark a 5 percent increase in rent. The average rent in Bridgeport in December was $1,350.

In Stamford, meanwhile, average rent was up by $209 in the fourth quarter over last year, an increase of 12 percent. The averege rent in Stamford in December was $1,914.
