I call Ina Chadwick “The Tiny Tornado” because she never stops moving (or talking, unless pausing to sip her trademark martini…), and she is by any objective standards, diminutive. Ina is also an innovator with a great eye for talent who happens to be whip-smart, funny, endearing, a little crazy, and astonishingly busy.

Her commitment to fully embracing a creative life has led her down many paths – journalist, author, editor, storyteller, emcee, WPKN radio host and for the last several years, impresario. For the past three years, Ina’s brainchild, MouseMuse Productions, has been producing enormously popular Spoken Word events throughout Fairfield County.

Exactly what kind of events? Well, you never know what MouseMuse is going to produce next  – it could be a fabulous evening of storytelling a la NPR’s popular series The Moth, a hilarious yet harrowing one-woman show, a reading of a never-before-seen play, a night of improv, or a full on cabaret performance. Ina’s entertaining programs have played stages both big and small, including The Fairfield Theatre Company, The Westport Arts Center, The Fairfield Museum and History Center, and the Bijou Theater.

WANDERING STAR is part of Ina’s eclectic new performance series, Live Magazine at The Falls, which, like a favorite magazine, promises to provide something intriguing for everyone.

In a couple of weeks, Maureen Hallock will perform her one-woman cabaret, This Suburban Wife incorporates autobiographical stories and songs. Chadwick describes Hallock as, “a brilliant comedic storyteller who captivates audiences with her blending of Eros and pathos,” and adds mischievously, “she makes Spaulding Gray look dull.” Musical accompaniment on the piano will be provided by Duncan Christy, “playing recognizable tunes in divertimento style” both before and after the show.

Seating is open, but both events will likely sell out, so paid reservations strongly recommended.
