Go Over the Edge at Mohegan Sun for Special Olympics, September 5th

Commissioner DzurendaMohegan Sun will host its 4th Annual Over the Edge event to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut on Friday, September 5th. Participants will enjoy an awesome view from 34 floors up and the thrill of rappelling down the side of Mohegan Sun to benefit local Special Olympics athletes. Preregistration is required and space is limited. No experience is necessary. Mohegan Sun is located at 1 Mohegan Sun Boulevard, Uncasville, Connecticut. Over the Edge kicks off at 9 a.m. on September 5th and runs throughout the day. Spectators are welcome.

For a fourth consecutive year, Mohegan Sun and individuals who wish to support Special Olympics by participating in this event will unite to make a positive difference in the lives of inspiring athletes of all abilities. In addition to providing the venue and amenities for those who rappel, Mohegan Sun will also have employees and executives participate.

Those who register can create a personal fundraising page so that their friends, family members and colleagues can sponsor them easily and securely to help them reach their fundraising goal. Participants will receive a t-shirt and photo of themselves in action.

Throughout the year, Special Olympics athletes demonstrate courage on the playing field as they train and compete in sports, strive to achieve personal goals and realize their potential. For one day at Mohegan Sun, individuals will, themselves, demonstrate courage and go to new heights to support these athletes by bravely going Over the Edge.
