The 8th Annual Susan Saint James Poker Tournament to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut will take place on Sunday, September 21st at Foxwoods Resort Casino, 39 Norwich Westerly Road, Ledyard. Poker players of all skills – including amateurs – are encouraged to participate. All proceeds from the event will support local Special Olympics athletes in their year-round sports training and competitions. The tournament is limited to 120 players and the entry fee is $100, which includes $2,000 in chips and a post-event reception. Susan Saint James is a member of the Special Olympics Connecticut Board of Directors and has been an active and avid supporter of Special Olympics since the 1970’s. She is most widely known as a talented television actress whose roles have included Kate McArdle in “Kate & Allie” and Sally McMillan in “McMillan & Wife.”
