Missing girl found at Westhill High

Police say the 14-year-old Stamford girl who sparked the Amber Alert after she was reported missing Wednesday night, unexpectedly showed up at Westhill High School for classes Thursday morning.
When an administrator, who knew that she had been reported missing, approached the girl in the school, she ran away.
Police were called to the area and tracked the girl to St. Leo Parish on Roxbury Road, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said.
There, a K9 officer reported that he had the girl and the Amber Alert was called off at 9:45 a.m. Thursday.
Lt. Diedrich Honh said the girl appeared unharmed but was taken to Stamford Hospital for evaluation.
