The annual Hope in Motion fundraiser is coming to Stamford on Sunday, June 1, turning the city’s downtown into a living race course in the hopes of raising $1 million for the Bennett Cancer Center. But even though the race is roughly seven weeks away, fundraising teams are already kicking their efforts into high gear.
Jay Keeshan, a Stamford resident whose fundraising efforts we featured last year, is planning a happy hour at Station Eats in Stamford on Thursday, May 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., to raise money for his team “Be There For Belle,” which had raised a little more than $800 so far this year, as of Monday morning. In addition to happy hour pricing, the Hope in Motion Burger will be available for guests, with 15 percent of the money going toward Hope in Motion.
And that’s just one event in a long list. Check out all the other fundraising opportunities going on around town in the coming weeks.
