GOP breakfast debate in Stamford on April 30

The Business Council of Fairfield County will host a Republican pre-convention breakfast debate on April 30 at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel, 700 E. Main St. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 8:30 a.m., followed by a one-hour debate.
The participating candidates for governor will include Danbury mayor Mark Boughton, Avon attorney Martha Dean, West Hartford Town Councilman Joe Visconti and State Sen. John McKinney.
Shelton mayor Mark Lauretti and Greenwich businessman Tom Foley will not participating in the debate. The GOP convention will be held May 16 and May 17 at Mohegan Sun casino.
The debate will be moderated by News 12 news director Tom Appleby and include a panel of journalists from Hearst Media Services, The Hour and CT Mirror.
