The city will hold the first of three planned public hearings Tuesday night to get input on potential changes to Cummings Park and West Beach.
Input at the meetings will be added to a master plan for the 79 acre Cummings Park and 26-acre West Beach which are close by each other.
In addition to planning potential improvements to passive and active recreational facilities at the two parks, the study also includes a beach resiliency planning study that was initiated following Tropical Storm Irene and Hurricane Sandy. Beyond amenities and physical improvements, the plan will address sustainability, operations, maintenance and utilization, and resiliency, according to officials.
The hearing will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday night, at the Halloween Yacht Club, 10 Seaview Ave., Stamford.
The city is currently developing a Web-site they are hoping to launch in the near future after the first public hearing.
