A city police officer was bitten by a Norwalk police dog while searching for an armed man in Stamford over the weekend, police said.

Stamford police were assisting Norwalk police in searching 63 Blachley Road for a man believed to be armed Sunday night when the Norwalk K9 bit the Stamford officer in the right arm.

Sgt. Kelly Connelly said the bite happened when the officers were searching the garage for the man. The dog bit the officer in the right tricep. The officer went to Stamford Hospital and was treated for his wound and released.

No such breed called pit bulls, they are American Staffordshire, and are the sweetest, most loving , most fun breeds of all–

What’s this? Well trained dog with experienced handler bites someone? You mean it isn’t just dogs from animal shelters who bite? That can’t be right because David Martin says it isn’t so.
