A city pizza cook was arrested Wednesday after a friend of the man’s daughter accused him of touching her breasts during a sleepover in late July, police said.
Aziz El Hattab, 41, of Stamford, was charged by police Wednesday afternoon of fourth-degree sexual assault and a felony risk of injury to a child. El Hattab was held by police in lieu of a $20,000 court appearance bond.
Lt. Diedrich Hohn said that the 12-year-old girl spent the night at El Hattab’s home while visiting his own 12-year-old daughter.
At 4:20 a.m. on July 26 the girl texted her mother, saying there was an emergency and to pick her up immediately.
When the mother got to El Hattab’s home to pick the girl up, she told her mother what the emergency was.
The girl said that on three occasions during the early morning hours, El Hattab snuck into the bedroom where the girl was staying and touched her breasts while El Hattab’s daughter and five-year-old son were sleeping in the same room, Hohn said.
An argument ensued between the two families after the mother showed up and police were called.
Hohn said that El Hattab, who works in a Strawberry Hill Avenue pizza parlor, denied the allegations when contacted by police.
