With the autopsy complete on a 21-year-old New Haven man found dead in Stamford Sunday morning, police say they have found no signs of foul play.
The man, George Daniel Pinto, was found dead by the residents in a home at 11 Soundview Ave., early Sunday afternoon.
Hohn said Pinto’s autopsy did not turn up anything suspicious and police are waiting on toxicology reports that they hope will help explain why he died.
Hohn said that Pinto showed up at a friend’s house at about 7:30 a.m. that morning and asked if he could use a bed to get some sleep, instead of driving home to New Haven.
Hohn said the friends said they heard him snoring about an hour before they tried to wake him up and found him unresponsive.
Medics tried to revive him multiple times without success.
Sgt. Kelly Connelly said vomit was found around Pinto’s mouth by medics responding to the call and police reported smelling alcohol around the body.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says that Pinto’s cause and manner of death have not yet been determined, pending further studies.
