Shooting at Stamford’s Cummings Park

A city man was shot in the leg at Cummings Park early Saturday morning following an altercation, according to Stamford Police Lt. Diedrich Hohn.

The disturbance occurred at about 12:15 a.m., during which several women began fighting, Hohn said. At that point a shot was heard, and a 35-year-old Stamford man was hit in the left leg. He was taken to Stamford Hospital and is expected to survive. The group of people involved in the altercation dispersed, and witnesses were unable to give a description of the shooter. The victim did not know who shot him.

Police are investigating.

@Dala – Cummings Park closes at midnight, not 8PM.

Aren’t the police supposed to close the park at 8pm? Are they making an exception for these people?
