American Idol oddsmakers love Pomperaug High’s Katie Stevens

Hi everyone,

It seems Pomperaug High’s Katie Stevens isn’t just a Connecticut favorite to win this year’s American Idol competition.

She’s pretty much a favorite everywhere.

Stevens and Andrew Garcia are the co-favorites to win this year’s American Idol crown at 4-to-1 odds, according to SBG Global, the self-proclaimed “world’s most respected online sportsbook.”

Casey James and Crystal Bowersox are next at 5-to-1 odds, followed by Didi Benami at 7-to-1, and Lee Dewyze and Siobhan Magnus at 9-to-1.

No other contestants on the FOX reality show are listed with odds under 10-to-1.

This week, the 10 female semifinalists will compete Tuesday night at 8. The 10 male semifinalists will compete Wednesday night at 8.

Four singers — two males and two females — will be eliminated Thursday night at 8.

Who do you think is going to win this year’s American Idol? Does Katie Stevens have what it takes to be the last singer standing?

Please comment on my blog post. I’d love to see who you think is going to win this year’s American Idol!

  1. Not because we live in Ct, I picked her to win right from the start. My wife and enjoy watching America’s talent.

  2. I am not a fan of her, just becasue you can sing doesn’t make you an Idol. I am however a HUGE fan of Andrew Garcia.
