This is such a great event. The food is WONDERFUL, in a way you can't really express -- you just have to taste it to understand. The lovely people at the church are warm and friendly and happy to see you. They don't try to 'recruit' anyone; they just want you to have a nice dinner.

It's a nice evening with nice people and good food.

That is an awful location for a Sonic. Did Sonic ever consider the parking lot behind Best Buy as their location?

If downtown Danbury is going to be special. Real special. Why is it that none of the NT editors live in Danbury? Do any of the reporters live in Danbury? Even Big Joe D, who owns half of Danbury, doesn't live in Danbury. Would it be OK for me to keep telling the good folks of downtown Bridgeport or Philadelphia to hang in there, someday their downtown will be special? Real special.

Congratulations, Nick!

It must be a wonderful feeling when one of your dreams become tangible and immerses itself into your everyday life- especially one that was 7 years in the making. The sacrificial elements concerning your personal life must have been immense. I can only imagine the type of leader it took to achieve this astounding feat. I just wanted to express my gratitude for everything you’ve accomplished.

Brian,

Well said.

Your talent has again put a voice to something that creates such a visceral discomfort many choose to ignore it, rather than combat it. Often these children become victimized twice first by the perpetrator and secondly by the response to their divulging of the abuse.

Nobody asks for this burden, not the victim or those vicariously affected by this horrific reality. A good friend once told me "good news shared is twice the joy, bad news shared is half the burden". What determines our humanity is how we respond when this burden become ours.

"If these charges are proven true, those responsible — directly and indirectly — should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Why do writers feel so strong about issues hundreds of miles from their hometown and remain silent when the issue is local? Did the News Times write a strong opinion on those "indirectly" responsible in the Troy Grant case? Who did Grant report to and how was he able to abuse so many for so long? Do we know there was no onr hiding the issue in that case? Maybe, when local writers really go after local issues the problem will be diminished.

Brian,

You really captured the energy and spirit in which the building was conceived, built and now filled with everyday. Thank you for being part of our "City" your words have brought our mission to life and will be a tremendous benefit to the kids.
