How do you measure kindness?

Students at Turn of River Middle School saw the results of a year’s worth of kind actions Wednesday morning. Over the course of the school year, teachers at the school have been handing out kindness links to students they observe performing a worthy action, as part of an ongoing effort to promote a culture of kindness at the school, headed up by the Rachel’s Challenge club.

The construction-paper links were joined together earlier this week, creating a 665-link chain that circled the lobby outside the school’s auditorium, according to Rachel’s Challenge adviser Sharon Wade.

“It truly is a sight to see and a great tribute to TOR and Rachel,” Wade said Wednesday.
