Stamford schools have 90-minute delay

Stamford’s public schools were operating under a 90-minute delay Thursday morning, after a Nor’easter dumped a healthy amount if snow on the city Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning.

Stamford wasn’t the only local district to hold off on it’s bell times Thursday. Nearby Norwalk, New Canaan and Greenwich operated under a two-hour delay, while Darien Public Schools also issued a 90-minute delay. For a full list of delays, click here.

Superintendent Winifred Hamilton had said earlier that she thought the schools would open up on time Thursday, but the overnight weather activity changed her mind.
