Malloy offers support to Nevada in wake of school shooting

A math teacher at Sparks Middle School was killed by a stdent early Monday morning on the first day back from break at the public schools in Washoe County, Nev. Two other students were shot before the alleged perpetrators shot himself.

Sparks is a community of more than 90,000 people just east of Reno.

 

GOV. MALLOY STATEMENT ON NEVADA MIDDLE SCHOOL SHOOTING

 

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Dannel P. Malloy released the following statement in response to the middle school shooting earlier today in Sparks, Nevada:

 

“I spoke with Governor Sandoval this afternoon to express our deepest sympathies and offer him our state’s support during the difficult healing process that is about to begin.  Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone tonight dealing with this senseless tragedy.”
