Today, the Stamford Advocate takes over the coastline trek.

Reporter Christina Hennessy and I are picking up on the Saugatuck River and ending at Calf Pasture Beach, where I hope they will be selling the $12.99 lobster dinners at the Stew Leonard’s concession stand. By the time we make it to our destination, after figuring out how to get around the salt marsh or on to Canfield Island, I’m gonna need it.

We made it to the cannons at compo beach, the ending point of the walk.

We are continueing our walk along the sound on the sidewalk because there are private houses along the beach. There are a lot of people running and walking. Tina said there are always people walling here, even in the winter. Katrina

It’s amazing the trash people leave on the beach. Not just cans or empty chip bags but strange stuff — like broken sandals.
