Breaking The Sound Barrier

Just got escorted out of Field Point Park by a guard who’s been following the Sound Barrier series. “Everybody here knows about it,” he told us. But no dice on the access. Onward…

@ Grass Island Sewage Plant

Just met up with Mike Burke, a former classmate of mine. He is on boat crew for the Island Beach Ferry. This morning they were preparing for a ferry run.

Set out from Steamboat Road this chilly a.m. Mostly walking in parking lots. RBS building had some nice, but brief, access right near the waterfront. Folks at Indian Harbor Yacht Club were nice enough to let us use their bathroom before we set off!

Our quest to access the private shorefront was ultimately unsuccessful–aside from our brief walk on the Waterford at Greenwich in which we nearly got the police called out– however we met a lot of cool people along the way. We are back now, covered in mud and ready to write and post the pictures and videos of our journey. Check back later.

We walked along the public areas as much as we could. Working on getting some private tours. Battery running low.
