Amusement park

Passing the remains of the amusement park where wooden horse once flew

Nearing the broken bridge that now isolates the islanD

Now hear the urban din of Bridgeport like trains sirens
At bridge And it is A mess
Loaded with smashed shells

Rich says he wants a boat to come get us

Ghost town

At the pleasure beach cottages
Ruins and rabbits
Charred cottages and piles of neglect haunt this part of the beach
Found a disgarded book. Alone against the Atlantic
Time to Move on getting eAtten by bugs

Nude beach

People tell us there is a nude beach here.
Hey it is suddenly sunny but no naked people
Lots of beach roses and a nice scent

Day four

We are now starting our journey at long beach in Stratford
More planes flying overhead than people
Stiff breezes and warm temps
Bridgeport actually looks good with the water aNd tidal marsh in front of it makes it look nice
High tide now and water looks inviting
Few fishermen but lots of bugs

Russian

Almost two hours in and we’re at Russian Beach. All along we’ve been followed by the scent of the sea and the sound of waves. There have been few people out which leaves the beaches here to us the terns horseshoe crabs and trash.

That has been the most disappointing part of this-the almost unbroken line of litter. It’s not overwhelming, the trash, but it’s unsightly.
