Recent Greenwich High School graduates Madeline More and David Josephson were recognized as scholar athletes at the 2011 Connecticut Association of Schools Scholar Athlete Banquet sponsored by McDonald’s. The Connecticut High School Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet is the largest program of its type in the state and honors just one male and female student per school.
More served as one of the captains of the Greenwich girls soccer team, which won the FCIAC championship this past fall. A Second Team All-FCIAC selection, More graduated as Greenwich High’s School’s Valedictorian.
A wide receiver, defensive back, Josephson earned Second Team honors on the All-FCIAC West football team. He also played on the Cardinals’ basketball team.
“McDonald’s has been a sponsor of the CAS Scholar Athlete Awards for 28 years and each year we are amazed by the outstanding achievements of these students who have excelled tremendously in both academics and athletics,” said Rachel Deane, McDonald’s owner/operater and president of the Connecticut and Western Massachusetts Owner/Operator Association.
