Greenwich native Michael Dustin breaks longtime swim record at Army

Greenwich native Michael Dustin is enjoying a successful freshman season for the Army men’s swimming team.
Dustin, a four-time All-FCIAC selection while at Greenwich High, broke the Army freshman record in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall in 20.97 seconds at the Zippy Invitational earlier this month at the University of Akron.
Dustin’s impressive time broke a 22-year school record in the event. The two-time State Open high school champion in the 100-yard butterfly has competed in the 100 butterfly and 50-yard freestyle for the Black Knights, who are 5-2 so far this season. A premier swimmer for Greenwich for four seasons, Dustin should have many more shining moments at West Point.
