Feeney, Conway, Taussig make First Team All-American

Greenwich High School senior attack Claire Feeney was a First Team All-American selection

Greenwich High School, Greenwich Academy and Convent of the Sacred Heart are well represented on the 2012 Connecticut Girls High School All-American Lacrosse Team.

Cardinals senior attack Claire Feeney was a First Team All-American selection. Feeney, who will play lacrosse at Winthrop University next spring, had another spectacular season for GHS, amassing 97 goals and 18 assists. She finished her high school lacrosse career with an eye-opening 253 goals and 59 assists for Greenwich, which won the CIAC Class L title for the second straight season with a 9-8 win over Cheshire. Feeney had three goals and one assist in the Cardinals’ championship victory.

Greenwich senior midfielder  and tri-captain Tori Dunster was an All-American Honorable Mention selection. Dunster had one goal and one assist in the Class L finals and provided a strong presence on the field throughout the season.

Greenwich Academy senior midfielder Emily Conway earned First Team All-American honors

Greenwich Academy, which won its 27th FAA championship in 29 seasons, have a pair of First Team All-Americans in senior Emily Conway and junior Mary Taussig. Conway was one of the Gators’ leading scorers, while Taussig helped anchor the team’s defensive effort and also provided a spark offensively each game.

Senior midfielder Alli Sciarretta of Convent of the Sacred Heart earned All-American Honorable Mention honors. A high-scoring midfielder, Sciarretta was one of the Tigers’ go-to players offensively.
