Saturday’s stars of the day

The Sacred Heart basketball team ran its record to 3-0, Greenwich Academy’s hockey team topped Millbrook and Brunswick’s wrestling squad had a second-place finish at the Loomis Chaffee Duals.  Here’s today’s stars.

Emily O’Sullivan, Sacred Heart basketball: O’Sullivan, a center, scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the Tigers’ 53-30 rout of Canterbury.

Pam Schulman, Isabella Crawford, Greenwich Academy hockey: The duo tallied one goal and one assist apiece for the Gators, who beat Millbrook, 3-2.

Matt Marvin, Connor Kupersmith, Owen Schubert, Brunswick wrestling: Marvin (195), Kupersmith (152) and Schubert (132) each went 4-0 in their respective weight class for the Bruins, who posted a second-place finish at the Loomis Chaffee Holiday Duals.

Eric Ronda, Ian Ronda, Brunswick swimming: The Ronda brothers each won two individual events and were part of two winning relay teams during Brunswick’s meet against Kent School. Eric won the 100 breaststroke in :57.25 (a Kent pool record). He also took first in the 200 individual medley (2:06.76). Ian won the 100 freestyle (:51.30) and 500 freestyle (5:16.83).
